Hmmmm

So, I read The Invisible Man way back in college or was it high school? Anyway, I thought it was incredible then, but it is pretty amazing how so many years of suffering from social anxiety and self imposed hermitness can make one more sympathetic to invisibility.
Seriously though, I relate. I read a brief overview of Ellison's life (in his own words) and several of his jazz writings before I started this time and really got inside his head. Mainly, it makes me sad. Really sad. (I will explore this later). But I can only parallel a lot of the emotion and challenges I have been reading about regarding the women's suffragette movement. (will also write more about this later)

More to come...
