RAK #12 - Left coffee in the breakroom
The new person ordering coffee at work only seems to know how to order decaf. (blasphemy) So I bought some GOOD coffee at BJs and left a few in the breakroom. I know this RAK will be greatly appreciated by someone.
RAK #11 - Sent one of my favorite books to a friend
This was a book from my "old book collection". Sent it to a friend who I know will love it and cherish it.

RAK 6 - Signed a petition via Amnesty International
Amnesty International is an amazing advocate of human rights and a collective place to really find out what it going on in the world and how you can help with injustices. I signed a petition to Demand that China release Nobel Peace Prize activist Liu Xiaobo. China has been infamous for "quieting" those that speak out for political reform. Read more about this and other human rights cases at the Amnesty International website.
RAK 5 - Held the door open for a lady with a million kids
This one is kind of funny. I see this lady and she has like 6 kids with her (hard to count, they were all bouncing around). I navigated through the sea of children to get the door for her and her triple stroller. She looked at me flustered and I joked, I am trying to get the door without encroaching on your personal space. She looked at me, exasperated and said, I gave up the dream of personal space long ago and thank you!
lol....see, a RAK Doesn't have to cost anything at all. Just helping someone by doing something as simple as holding the door open is a random act of kindness!

RAK #1 - Post Pals
Today I signed up with Post Pals. It is an organization that allows you to send a card, message and even a small gift to a critically ill child. You should sign up too! Click here to learn more about this organization.
They do not disclose the home address of the child, it is all done through the organization, and you won't get a reply, but you will get a lot of joy from making a sick childs day a little better!

Welcome to my own version of the kindness project....41 random acts of kindness
Starting tomorrow, I will be doing 41 random acts of kindness. I will try to complete this in 90 days, which I am sure is very doable, and I am going to document the process along the way.
I read several blogs doing this and several pin boards on pinterest with some amazing ideas I want to try. I was very inspired. I do little RAKS, but never have done a full force RAKaThon....I hope to inspire others to action, as those awesome RAKers have inspired me.
Why 41?
The blog Sweet Blessings was a huge motivation and inspiration. I am going to borrow a lot of her ideas from her 2011 post "41 Random Acts of Kindness". She completed hers in a week! What awesomeness. So that, my friends is where the 41 comes from.
I suggest that you go visit her site where you can download some free RAK printables. (so cute!)....
So why not join me?
